Hi I know I'm posting this very early but I'm really considering going on a gap year traveling after A levels. I'm just wondering has anyone else done this before?

Yes, and would most definitely recommend doing it! Best time ever, so much so that am going again next year - Feb 2nd! Cannot wait! Exciting times ;D ;D ;D
Have you thought about what you want to do/where you want to go or anything yet? If you want to know anything bout it I can try and help, cos I could waffle on about travelling for aaaages! ;D Last time i did Singapore/Australia (East Coast)/New Zealand/Mexico/Canada (East Coast)/USA (Indianapolis, New York and Chicago) and was away for five months. Didnt work or owt, but have done research into that many a time so i can try help with that if you were thinking of doing that.
Always best to plan early - you wouldnt beleive how long this latest one has been in the planning lol! And even then my saving has been atrocious!

I think I know what countries I want to go to Australia heard some amazing things about that country wanted to go there for ages, New Zealand some of my friends have been there said it was brilliant, Canada been there only a few months ago best time of my life want to go to Vancouver/Vancouver Island and some of the bigger cities there. Also I want to go to America not sure what cities though yet. I am planning on going to a few motorsport events while I'm away though F1, V8 Supercars, Nascar/Indycar and maybe a bit of champcar.

Oooh tis a good list of countries that - quite simliar to the ones i did last time! Cept i did mine in a stupidly illogical order lol! I havent been to the Vancouver side of Canada yet, really want to but its quite a trek across from East to West!! Aus/NZ gotta be top of the list - absolutely loved them both last time (NZ the most, but dont tell Forza ) so much to do there Was a month in each last time - not nearly enough time in either!! Ahh backpacking is perfect for fitting in a motorsport event or two - specially for the far away ones! Got four F1's last time - although one of those was Indianapolis 2005 - certainly an interesting event!! Great weekend aside from that though! Ahh the possibilties are endless! You got me all thinking bout the impending trip now - brain working overtime thinking of fun things to do

I'm into extreme sports sort of things as well anything dangerous I do tend to do keep on breaking things attempting parkour. I want to parachute out of a plane jet ski bungee jump that sort of stuff.
